A Track Record Of Success

This Is Our Story

I’m sure that we don’t have to ask you. You look at the rapid growth and strengthening of government at every level, and at the very least, its unsettling. At the very most, it’s terrifying.

We were like most people, living our lives with an interest in politics, but taking for granted the ever-growth of government upon our country. We thought we knew a lot about national politics, some about state politics, and thought that local politics was inconsequential. Boy, did we learn a lot, and it became a calling to do our part to turn things around.

Back in 2008, Jason found out that the road he lived near was going to turn from a 4-lane road to a 6-lane road, with the removal of many local homes and businesses. He did the research and organized his commuinity, holding an all-community meeting in the basement of his local VFW.

The next city council meeting was packed to standing room only, and the feeling in the room was very positive. The county and city, however, already had their minds made up and voted for the project. Residents left the meeting upset, but nothing changed at the next election.

Jason left that meeting confused, so he gathered a group of people to meet monthly, and they studied every facet of local government. What they learned shocked them. This is where Jason and Andrew decided that they need to get out of the basement and do something.

After the mayor publicly insulted them and the council disqualified their petition regarding the taxation scheme for these road “improvements”, they decided that all seven of the city council members needed to be removed.

It took three election cycles, but they did just that. Every single member of the Crystal City Council was replaced. Because of their research, they knew that the problems were the same all over the country at the local level. They tried to volunteer within the local BPOU (Basic Political Operational Unit), but found that political parties just weren’t geared for local elections.

Jason and Andrew were writing articles for their blog, which spawned the Community Solutions Podcast back in 2017. They decided that they would take what they learned across the state of Minnesota, recruiting candidates for non-partisan office and providing education and strategy to help them win their elections.

Since the original seven wins in their hometown, they have helped elect candidates to school boards, city councils, and county boards across the state of MN, and will continue to add more members to Team 20k.

All Seven City Council Seats

It’s true! We were neck deep in making sure that all seven Crystal City Council seats were turned over. Even better… six of seven seats were for candidates closely aligned with our values. This laid the foundation to help us build the skills to win local elections across Minnesota!

Winning At Every Level

Our wins in Crystal did, indeed, set us up with the skill set to go out and help other candidates win. Our candidates have won school board seats, city council seats, and county commissioner seats. Whatever nonpartisan seat you are running for, we have the experience you need!

What We Bring To THe Table

Our Founders

It’s true that we’ve had our share of success in local elections. You may still be wondering who we are and what we’ve done, so let us introduce ourselves.

Jason Bradley

Jason has served in various roles in his local party Basic Political Organizational Unit (BPOU) in many roles, including BPOU Chair. He and Andrew started the local goverment committee for their local BPOU, and have engaged with volunteers at the Congressional District and State Party levels to push for a greater involvement in local government. They were also commissioned to create a training that would serve as a primer to local BPOUs on nonpartisan politics.

Andrew Richter

Andrew Richter is an author, former business owner, and is currently in the logistics business. He has written a book on the Civil War called “Blue And Gray Forever”. He has also worked on many campaigns in roles from strategist, to sign manager, to phone banker. He also spent some time with the Center For The American Experiment.

Andrew has volunteered in about every imaginable position with his local Basic Political Organizational Unit (BPOU). He and Jason formed the Local Government Committee for their BPOU. He and Jason have travelled across the state speaking to other BPOUs and Congressional Districts to increase their interest and involvement in local elections.
